Chevrolet Cruze - GM’s New Gas Saver
GM announced that it will release its new fuel saving vehicle, the Chevrolet Cruze, in April of 2010. The compact Cruze will be bigger than the Chevrolet Cobalt but smaller than the Malibu.
The announcement of the Cruze shows GM's comitment to provide more fuel efficient vehicles. The slumping economy and rising fuel prices has caused consumers to take a second look at their vehicle spending habbits. This has also caused car manufactuerers to take a second look at what they are producing. This has caused GM to change the focus of their operations. They are in the midsts of closing many truck plants and hoping for a turn in the economy just in time for the release of their line of fuel efficient cars.
The Cruze is expected to get 40 MPG and little better than the new Colbalt XFE which gets 37 MPG.
